Buriganga River
Buriganga River is a river in the Dhaka and Narayanganj districts of the north-central region of Bangladesh. The length of the river is 29 km, the average width is 302 m and the nature of the river is meandering. The Buriganga river identification number given by the Bangladesh Water Development Board or "Paubo" is 47 in the North-Central Region. [1] Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, is located on the banks of the Buriganga River. Dhaka city was built on the banks of this river 400 years ago.
