The Health Ministry has launched 'Helpline 16263' to get free doctor advice on any health issues. In this Helpline called Health Radio, by dialing from the mobile phone, the general public can get 24 hours of doctor advice in addition to any other information, including government hospitals, doctor information and other health related information and telephone numbers. There will also be any complaints or suggestions regarding public-private healthcare or hospital, but can be reported to this number. The complaints that are available on the mobile phone will be notified to the appropriate authorities. The complainant will also be informed about the action taken regarding the complaint. A directive has been issued on the Health Department's website. Under the instructions, after dialing 16263, you will have to press 0 (zero) to talk directly to the doctor for your health advice. To know the nearest government hospital, doctor's information and any other health related information, press 1. It will cost 2 paisa 37 paisa (with VAT) and 10 second pulse per minute to phone.
